Hello,
The last weekend was a particular one for Germany. It celebrated its entity. For the citizens it meant one day longer weekend
I decided to go and visit my friends who are living not so far away where the border previously was. They are living in the ex- western part.
On Sunday we read the daily newspaper and we found that there was a small exhibition of the ex-eastern customs equipment, pictures etc. The exhibition was organised in a small village called Wildeck-Obersuhl.
On Monday we were there. Here are somo photo material of this exhibition. At first I must admit that I am NOT a DDR fun or collector. It was a good opportunity though to learn something new and looking at the militaria is always a pleasure - no matter what era or period they come from
So, here are the pictures. I can't comment the decorations or uniforms shown since I know very little about them I know that there are many here for whom such identification of the items will be simple as legendary piece of cake
SO HERE WE GO:
At the beginning an original Trabi-Kübelwagen
