Peter: I noticed in the first pic that there is a second conning tower in the lower left corner of the pic. Can you tell me what that is from?
I believe that is a mock-up or copy, but it has one of the original periscope installed. I bought the book that tells the history of the U-505, and over the years more and more artifacts have been found including the navigation periscope.
