My two bits on the holocaust uniform... it is my understanding that inmate uniforms were the same inside and out. No liner. Reason...so they couldn't turn them inside out and hide. Source...curator at the Nat Holocaust museum, Wash DC.

Very interesting photos, thanks for posting them. I think it's important to remember all victims of the various holocausts of the last century, not only the Jewish one. Stalin systematically wiped out millions in the name of his own paranoia. Millions of German civilians and POW's were killed after the end of the war by occupying powers. And lets not forget the evil in central Africa a few short years ago.

No one is forgetting the victims of other genocides, past of present. People seem to think that Holocaust organizations only focus on the Jewish victims of Nazism, which is not true. US Holocaust Memorial has established the Committee on Conscience the goal of which is to "alert the national conscience, influence policy makers, and stimulate worldwide action to confront and work to halt acts of genocide or related crimes against humanity". The theme of 2004 Holocaust Memorial Day in the UK was "From the Holocaust to Rwanda: lessons learned, lessons still to learn". The late Simon Wiesenthal constantly talked about millions of non-Jewish victims and about Holocaust being "not only a Jewish tragedy but a human tragedy".

The picture of the V-1 looks about the correct size, as there is a Loon (US Army built V-1) on display 11 miles from my house. They were not very big, I would say little more than a 1000lb bomb with wings and motor.

I know I am making more headache for Ade, but this is too precious to pass up, besides someone not familiar with the subject might (God forbid) think that David actually makes sense.

Remember that David's original contention was that Foxman claims to be a "holocaust survivor" while not in fact being one. Pretty simple, no? No argument about his character or integrity (I am not a fan of Foxman either), just his "survivor" status. Either he is or he isnt. Lets look at what David gives us as proof, shall we?

I would have thought that it was simply cheaper to produce. You'd stick out like a sore thumb with a jacket and trousers turned inside out anyway.

-Headache would be the word, I had already apologised to Jon, and should have apologised to Ade as well .However Vadim, completely oblivious to the opportunity he presents-just check out his signature -"facist executioner by guitar?"-well that already gives us more than hint to the nature of the man's politics,- and there are no surprises!

So he either is or isn't
Was he ever in a camp?-the answer is no, but then must we define the survivor?This is the crux and where the "Holocaust Industry" juggernaut begins and everyone can be a Holocaust Survivor to the detriment of those who actually survived.
So how many actally "survived?"-taking the ADL's definition, very many indeed

Of course I read the link and posted because it gives the flavour and essence of the man, certainly not an edifying one..
If you look at who wrote it, its hardly surprising that he would be described as a survivor.
I think more than a few would disagree with his inclusion.

Finkelstein is every Revisionist's wet dream, a self-hating Jew who doubts the number of Jews killed in Holocaust. The link deals with the animosty between Finkelstein and Foxman. Not a word regarding Foxman's "holocaust survivor" status.

I'm afraid Foxmans credentials include lot more than being a friend to the gays, and I'll leave it to whoever wants to do an internet search on Foxman to make up there own minds.

Ohhh some nice revisionist stuff in here, glad I normally hang out in the "progressive" sections of W/A...

Anyway, back to the point about a "dull V2 museum", I think you mean Le Coupole (sp?) the "Museum of History and Rockets"? Yes?

I think this is an excellent museum, although its purpose is mainly not to actually describe the V2 assembly and launch facility that it is sighted in, but to describe the history of rockets and somethings about France's occupation in WW2.

I've been there several times and would reccommend it.

ONE of the sections is about the deportation and murder of French Jews. I guess some of you will be skipping that bit.
