For some reason last night I just could not get to sleep and after several failed attempts at finding Elisium, I ended up on WAF and stumbled accross this thread, and the 'Yosemite' as a result.
I avidly read both threads in their entirety and while I was fixed with the raw beauty of Yosemite and the amazing historical backdrop of this thread, I literally roared with laughter at the humour on both threads.
I can honestly say that I have not enjoyed any threads on WAF as much as those two, the photographic content and the humour are peerless.
I honeslty think some of the current WAF membership would do well to read the tone in which Tim presented these threads (especially the fact that he could laugh at himself) rather than spout some of their vile, self-centered postings which seem to permeate WAF on an ever increasing basis.
I did not know Tim Calvert at all, but after reading these threads I wish I had.
Well worth reading for anyone who has not yet done so.
Regards Richard.
