        Looks like nougat..,bad for the teeth..

        I think concrete doesn't break this way..unless it was done with a saw.

          I like that beer and it aint German beer....

          Great pics btw....I wish i had a wife/girlfriend who had the some interests in historic places like me...

          They shouldnt had bombed it at that time.

            Your right it does look like nouget And yes, the pictured concrete or stone piece was indeed cut buy a brick saw.

                                On the 'Alter Friedhof' in Berchtesgaden lie a lot of young men (Gebirgsjaeger, Fallschirmjaeger, Wehrmacht and WOI soldiers). Boys of 16 year that died a socalled 'heroes dead' for their Fatherland. Helps to remind you how meaningless war is. Most of them don't even lie there but in the land where they died.
