    Cleaning up Ground Dug DKiG

Hi All , I was lucky enough to aquire a DKiG which is fresh out from under the soil and will need a clean . It just looks gray and lumpy . I know you all might like to see some pics but i just cant get them to load up . If anyone has any suggestions as to how and clean it up i would be very grateful. I was thinking soaking in Lemon Juice ?

On any item that you have you never want to place the medal in lemon juice. Lemons are acidic and can ruin your item quickly. Most fruits are full of a mild to strong citric acid. Fresh lemons over time when applid to tooth enamel can soften/remove it. Think of what it can do to your prized medal..

I would clean it with water first and pat it dry. You need to post photos. Sometimes a lot of damage can occur just from removing it from the soil and having it subjected to new temperatures and moisture conditions especially with the enamel and gilt etc.

Start with water and toothbrush (gently).
