Hey everyone,when using renwax,do you apply to alll metal fittings or just the blade???I'd think why not alll fittings,but it may stop patina from developing???Also,opinions on oiling blades?? I have some 3 in 1 oil i was considering.....[preparing for possible flaming.....]thanks,Lenny

For any military, or other collector blades it is not recommended to use on any type of oil on any blades. Oil attracts dirt, moisture and seals any finger prints left behind on that blade.
Renaissance Wax is a safe wax that is recommended by many museums and collectors world wide on blades. Just a warning a tiny bit of Renaissance goes a long ways.
Please do not store your blades in any knife sheaths.

The military is not into conservation of many of there items, or preserving the history. Unless it is in one of there military museums.
If one of there guns get rust they can swap it out for another.... If you check out the few military museums. They do use Ren Wax.
Of course these are your items to do with as you see fit...
