Hi Guys,

Well i have to say i restored this MP44 while I lived in europe, couldnt bring it with me it was an early one wit Mp43 stamp. I made the stock, the part that the stock goes into with which it attached to the rifle, the hand grips, the sling, and i removed all the rust..

It looks like you did some nice work and the gun is better for it. One size does not fit all when it comes to best approach on what to do or not not do.

This Mp43/44 was a pile of rust i bought it for about $10 locally in Hungary, the old bloke needed extra sugar for making wine, to boost the alcohol %% I also bought from him a nice M43 Hungarian made submachine gun which is very rare, i sold it of strait away for big bucks, anyhow I would have never left it the way it was it was so bad... I had it in peroleum for a week, others said diesel is good too then i also got a little gas heater or that torch what you solder with and started gettin the rust off. I managed to have that side shutter were the empty caseings go out to work, the trigger worked, I also could reload it, but never to use it though LoL just for the sake of it. I also got the magazin afterwoods from a freind and it matched to the weapon in condition.

I was happy at the end.
