Moving Things Around--What do you think?

Greetings friends, I had the good fortune of being given a nice shelf today. I moved it to my office and pondered over what to do with it. It took a while to set things up the way I wanted as nearly everything had to be shifted around, but what do you think of this setup?

Since the shelf is now on top of the table that the pictures were on, they had to go over to the top of my large display cabinet. This upset my EK cases and other items there

Speaking of Iron Crosses, to make everything fit, I had to turn the case lengthwise. That meant shifting everything inside around, what a tedious job that was. There are a few new ones in there too, and some on the way--a 1939 EKII mm65, a beautiful valuted 1914 EKI marked 800, and a cased vaulted 935 silver 1914 EKI. When they arrive, I don't know where they will go, but I will share some pics when I figure it out.

I like the way this turned out. I picked up the flag at a thrift store a few weeks ago, I think it provides an appropriate background. The only thing I worry about with things displayed in this fashion is that it looks very busy and crowded I think.

Here is the last one. Some of my grandfather's personal things from WWII that he brought back with him from the South Pacific. I am glad to have almost everything of his in one display now.

WoW! This war room looks very good! The headgear is really attractive, and how did you hang up that rifle?

                Again, WONDERFUL display!

The more crowded, the merrier! Looks great

I have to say I'm torn between the EK cases and the picture of Genl Lee, but those EKs sure are pretty!

Brother John, ask and ye shall receive. The case you asked about houses my collection of modest but well loved Imperial EKIIs, there is an 1870 EKII in there as well as a mounted 1939 EKII, but mostly it is full of just plain jane EKIIs.

Tyler, regarding your question about the rifle: I tied high tense fishing line around the rifle at the trigger guard and below the bayonet locking nut at the end, these were then looped around heavy duty contrustion concrete nails. I tried to take a pic for you, but couldn't get them to come out well enough.

Thanks for all the kind words gents.

The whole set up looks good. Might I suggest a few daggers to spice up the room? Neat idea on hanging the rifle too.
