    Certainly One Of A Kind!

Today's pickup! Bought at the Wilmington show from Mr. Walter Kanzler! Huge thanks! He talks about it a bit in one of Tom Wittmann's videos, if I find it I'll link it.

I would rate it as a better grade of firewood?

Why Heisst instead of Heißt ? I know it is possible, but very unusual for the era I think?

I would not pay money for it, just my 2c.....

I cannot speak to the item that is pictured here. However, I can say that I was warned away from dealing with Mr. Kanzler by a fellow collector.

My friend told me he had an item for sale and was put in contact with Mr. Kanzler through a well-known dealer.

It seemed as though the discussions for sale were going smoothly, but then Mr. Kanzler began to--for reasons I can't fathom--outline his intentions to boost the resale price of the item by adding details and basically creating a provenance and history for the standalone item out of thin air.

My friend told me that Mr. Kanzler seemed genuinely shocked that his ruminations met with disapproval almost as though he assumed that's how everyone in the collector world operates.

Needless to say, my friend did not complete any transaction with him and I have never sought him out to either buy from nor sell to.

Just curious what ever happened with this. Did the OP get in touch with the seller? It seems the forum has spoken and I was just curious what happened.

                          Thanks

I came across this video today:

Edelweiß toilet paper being sold by Kanzler.

Just got a email back from Mr. Wittmann, hopefully this puts a end to any question of its authenticity.
