      Here is a rare Medalbar.

The bar belonged to a Finnish member of the Svenska Brigaden (The Swedish Brigade), a military unit that called itself the Swedish Brigade, it was roughly 550 men strong, consisted of mainly Swedish volunteers.
The Brigade was organized in Sweden of volunteers to fight for the Whites in the Freedomwar against the Reds and Russians.

Svenska Brigaden was the in the first assault waves in the battle of Tampere, and suffered enourmous casualties during the battle of the city which later became to be known as the largest battle in Nordic History.
The Swedish brigade of 550 men suffered during the Finnish Freedom war an enormous casualty rate of 50%.

Of these 550 men, 18 were Finnish, and this bar is to one of these 18 men.

      The Medalbar consists of;
      • Cross of Liberty 4.Class with Swords -1918
      • Commemorative Medal of the Freedomwar 1918, with Battle Clasp "Tampere"
      • Commemorative Medal of the Winter War 1939-40 (The man fought later in the Winter War too)
      • Battle of Tampere Medal
      • The rare Swedish Brigade Medal, given to all memebers of Svenska Brigaden

A really interesting volunteer unit, for those interested, they should look it up.

                Thank you Reichword

                Thanks!
I'm a bit surprised someone took the time to read through the whole Militärpaß text!
Suprised but very pleased that my effort to do the research didn't go unnoticed, thank you

                  Here's another "Ostsee Division" bar
This Cross has a blue backing and with the award combination, it makes me believe it perhaps a Kaiserliche Marine bar.

                  The awards are;
                  • Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1914
                  • Verdienstkreuz Kriegshilfsdienst 1916 (interesting varinbt of buntmetal and has nice jumpring decorations. Private purchase piece)
                  • Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer
                  • Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung 1. Klasse, for 20 years loyal service
                  • Finnish Cross of Liberty 3. Class with Swords 1918 (only 971 awarded, swords device missing, perhaps because it was difficult to mount)
                  • Commemorative Medal of the Finnish Freedomwar 1918

As you notice, the 3.Class Cross of Liberty 1918's famous paintloss can be seen clearly.

Ostsee Division Medal Bar, to a brave Bavarian NCO, awarded with 4 bravery awards. Most likely a NCO in the Bayerische Gebirgsartillerie-Abteilung 2, part of 2. Garde-Kavallerie-Brigade, Ostsee Division.

A very brave Bavarian, the bar's mounted in the Southern style. This Bar is most likely mounted between 1928-1934 as the Tiroler Landesverteidigungs medaille was instituted 1928, and there's no Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer, which was instituted 1934.

                    Awards:
                    • Bayerisches Militärverdienstkreuz mit Schwerten 3. Klasse
                    • Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1914
                    • Finland, Medal of Liberty 1. Class (made of Silver) 1918
                    • Finland, Medal of Liberty 2. Class 1918
                    • Finland, Commemorative Medal of the Freedomwar 1918
                    • Tiroler Landesverteidigungs medaille 1914 - 1918

A miniature chain, for a Officer in the Ostsee Division, Sächsisches Karabiner-Regiment.
I don't really collect miniatures, but I just had to have this one!

Consists (should partly) of following awards:
                        • EK2, miniature missing, so I added just for the photo a full size EK2-1914, I hope no one minds
(if someone would have for sale a suiting 16mm miniature EK2-1914, PM me and I can get the bar completed)
                        • Albrechtsorden Ritterkreuz 2.Klasse mit Schwerter
                        • Schaumburg-Lippe, Kreuz für Treue Dienste 1914
                        • Hanseatenkreuz Hamburg
                        • Finland, Cross of Liberty 3. Class 1918
                        • Commemorative Medal of the Finnish Freedomwar 1918
