Great collection! Thanks for the memories. Oh….and a warning to all you kids out there. Don’t fall for the advertisements in the back. After months of begging my Mama she finally broke down and ordered the Civil War set for me. I waited and waited patiently every day for the postman to drop off the large box with my soldiers in it. Much to my surprise and disappointment at last he brought a package addressed to Master Dale that was almost as big a box of kitchen matches. It was the soldiers. Now they were all there…150 of em and each one of them about as big as a dime and just as flat. The horror of it all! I’m sure at the time I needed therapy and maybe that is why I’m so obsessed with collecting today.Attached Files

I always wanted the WWII soldier set but never got it. I guess you are telling me I was lucky! I did have a bunch of toy soldiers from the Marx Battleground & Guns of Navarone play set which was cool.
We should start a thread on old military toys!

'The Losers' I used to read was late 1960s to 70s.. don't think they made it in to the 1980s,,[maybe some kind of re issue[?] ]
Man I had the Marx Thompson machine gun.. [Felt full size back then!!] You'd pull that bolt back ,,pull the trigger ,,and,, bup bup bup bup bup,,and the little red piece going in and out of the barrel!! God that was the best for me!!!
