Unusual Collection - War Comics 1940s-1980s

Like many kids of my generation I read and collected comic books. One collecting goal I had as a teenager was to acquire one of each title for all of the different War comics available at the time. What follows is just the Volume 1 Number 1 comics from that endeavor. (Vol 1 No 1s are normally considered the most desirable and valuable comics to own in a series)

Note the "non-political correctness" of some covers. Most of the comic books deal with WWII and Korea with very few comic books devoted to Viet Nam - probably a sign of the times and the unpopularity of that war in the US.
