Just a little update, I have now thanks to Eugene who runs relicsww2 I manage to find a original centre shaft for my AA camo tripod, and also a Lafette AA extension pole, these items were ground dug but still in working condition. I also found a set of Pilots trousers, one front pocket is missing, and the zippers have seized due to age, and storage, but still good for display purchases, and leather gloves. I still need a set of flying boots, and now a oxygen mask.
This is an amazing collection Lou. Another fellow collector from Perth (although Id hardly compare mine with yours.....other than mine is all in boxes!) Well done mate.
Great pieces Lou..I sure wish I had kept my MG 34, I hope to have another nice one one of these days and the Laffitte tripod to put it on, they sure stunning together!
Scott, I thought I would off never had a opportunity to get my hands on a real MG34 here in OZ due to our Custom importing laws that came into effect on bring any machine gun, even deactivated back in 1996! This MG is a parts built, the barrel and receiver are solid metal, and this one and 2 others came out off the US, and imported 3 years back for the film industry, so I can say I was very luck to be in the right place to buy it.
