Thank you again. I know Tom's site well - it is a truly excellent resource. I had also forgotten that he shows a full set of cavalry equipment, including this specialised belt. Thanks for the reminder.

Here is a figure built around the battledress blouse of a named Staff Sergeant in the Royal Army Medical Corps. The blouse has some moth damage but came complete with a full set of printed titles, a name inside as well as the man's unit: 128 Field Ambulance, Guards Armoured Division.
The amazing thing is that this is the same RAMC unit my Grandfather served in during the war. I still can't believe how lucky I was to find this blouse with such a close connection to a member of my own family.

And now another named RAMC uniform but this time from the Great War. This SD jacket and cap belonged to a Captain who joined up in his 50s, moving from his job as a GP to help the war effort. Although he was in the RAMC he was initially attached to the Royal Bucks Hussars in the UK.
The uniform also came with his large kit bag, spurs, medical tools and a couple of pictures. Everything was held by the family for many years and so is all in excellent condition.

Here we have a member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, on duty somewhere in the far-flung reaches of the Empire. This would be from the late 1920s up to the first years of WW2. The KD jacket is Indian made and modified in the Scottish style. The kilt is 1937 dated and the Glengarry is of WW1 vintage.

Great collection!!! The M41 German Cavalry uniform with M36 shoulder straps
has extra long pattern shoulderstraps intended for the great coat.
Love it all. I have my British collection packed away for about 2 years now...
seeing your material is making me want to unpack and display it all, but I ran out of space
