I had a privilege to see this collection in person, not once but twice , and I am always speechless about it.

So many small details amongst obvious gems, so many people and stories behind.

Displaying so many uniforms isn't easy, but it's doable, I believe. If I can squeeze 11 jackets in 6 sq meters, you have plenty of room for few dozens more ;-).

                    Difficult......

That is a very difficult question. I like all of them, of course....But I select the following ones:

Frock coat of Kapitaenleutnant (Ing.) Fuchslocher.
He served on several U-Boats during the war, with more than one year of patrols.
The frock coat comes from a german dealer site. After researching his name, I found by chance a paper estate of him in the USA (including his soldbuch, dog-tag, 3 photo allbums starting from 1936 and ending with his POW time in the UK, promotion documents etc.) Unfortunately no award docs, but I am sure there are somewhere outside...
                    Born 12.01.1916
                    Boats served on are U-144 (School-Boat), U-332 (6 Patrols, 325 days at sea), U-3002, U-3007 and U-3008.
He was also technical advisor to the Ingineur Glueckauf (IBG) for the type XXI boats. He co-authored a book about this type.
Awarded with Sudetenmedaille, EKII, U-Boat badge, EKI and U-Boat clasp in bronce. The awards on the coat are not his ones.
                    Fuchslocher died in 1999.

                      Hand-Book for U-Boat commanders

Another item I like very much and which I think is very rare is this original "Handbuch fuer U-Bootskommandanten" (Handbook for U-Boat commanders)
MDv 906. It describes all tactics to be used in different combat situations.

It is registered as "Secret" with an individual register number.
I contacted the German central library which holds an inventory list of all German public libraires and got the information that there is only one example listed.
I am sure more exists but I have not yet found another one.
BTW, I got this treasure here on WAF....

                        Promoted NCO

This reefer of a Leutnant z.S. is most probably a promoted NCO.
I base this on the loops for 4 awards as well as I can see that the seams on the shoulder were once opened and shows traces of former shoulder boards.
The reefer is not maned but makred with sizes an "LYSDAL" in the arm liner.
Under the breast pocket are re-inforced holes for a clasp.
