Dear Members,
after collecting Kriegsmarine since late 2013, I thought it is now time to share my collection with you.
I am collecting now over 25 years roman antiquities. After moving to Abu Dhabi, I can not follow this hobby anymore with the same enthusiams because of the huge paperwork to get the things out of Europe.
But a life without collecting ? Not for me...
I was always interested in the history of the 2 WW. I can still remember very well the fascinating talks I had with our neighbour when I was a boy. He was a member of the U-Boats, responsible for the E-Machines.
Most probably this memory of him has driven me into the decision: Kriegsmarine it is ! in Autumn 2013 I joined this forum and since this time it is a invaluable source of information and guidance. A "Thank You" to all members who had helped me with their knowledge to build up my collection and to avoid costly traps. Special thanks to the guys in the Kriegsmarine section of WAF !
And one of the best things: Out of this "virtual" community some real "flesh and blood" friendship with members has grown.
I would like to start with an overview on my collection room. From time to time I will add single items with descriptions, hoping that some of my posts can help other fellow collectors to find informations.
Thanks
Christian
