    Thanks Guys, glad you liked it!

    Laurens, I switched the flag back for you. I too, like it better hanging over the sword stand. I made this stand myself. I wanted a stand that would hand on the wall, but couldn't find one? (all the ones I found were table mounted or floor mounted stands). So I made this one up. If I get any more swords I'll have to make another one and add extra spots for more swords to hang! Maybe I'll spend some $$ on it too, and use some good wood, like oak, cherry or knotty maple?

      Great, the swords deserve it
      How did you make the stand if I may ask? You did the woodcutting yourself and painted it afterwards? (from what I can see in front view)

      Cheers,
      Laurens

      PS: If you decide to use some quality wood like oak or cherry, then please don't paint it but apply varnish...as a kitchen designer my heart breaks to see oak, cherry, maple or beech with a layer of paint

            Matt,
            Although I am not a sword collector myself, I do appreciate these items, both of these look in very good condition, no tarnishing on the blades. What do the inscriptions say?

            Is this all you have left these days since you've given up edge weapons?
            Regards
            Si

              Very niiiice...

              Mat;
              Very nice blades.
              I,too,love Japanese swords.I became aquainted with Kendo & Ia-Do while living in Japan & Taiwan.Once had a 15th.Cent.katana(made by Moritsigu) and still regret selling it many years ago to a serious collector.
              Now have only a Jap N.C.O sword,W.W.II.
              The sweep of these blades reminds me of "music."
