Last month I was in Kassel and found this nice piece.

Unfortunatelly name label has been taken off, but it was with a big lot of documents and photos, that can be bought together, from Vizeadmiral Walter Matthiae, Seekommandant from Lorient (10 Sep 1944-10 May 1945). Deutsches Kreuz in Silber winner (11 Apr 1944).

Hello, is the Spange zum EK II also original? I mean, is it confirmed Matthiae recieved the Spange?

Hi, yes, its a hand made and custom engraved scabbard, this was an extra cost option, like the damascus blade
