Could Tim CalvertĀ“s cross be a Otto Schickle? That is my guess based on that photo. Nice cross and thanks for showing it.

      Cheers.

Yes it looks like a Schickle with an 800 mark. The eye looks flash with the frame.

            ok, IĀ“m lazy AND stupid....

posted in the wrong thread, but here it is:

In last week, cased with a nice portion of worn ribbon.
The frame is near black, but I havenĀ“t yet decided to clean it or not.
ItĀ“s marked Ā“800` on the ribbon loop, and came with the other goodies in the pic.

            regards,
            ben

Thanks Ben. Looks like a nice 80's S&L.

                You mean the biggest mini?
I thought this was supposed to represent the rk (?)

Not that I can see, but the ring is mangeled with a pair of pliers. I think it's somekind of aluminum.

                best regards,
                ben

                  apparently I'm still have awake.
This was a reply to the question if the ek pin was marked.
                  It's not...

                  This is getting confusing....

                    Hi Guys, Thanks.

I don't have the camera out, but will get the close-up soon. Actually, the cross in unmarked, the loop is marked 800. Here's a shot of the back for now.
I don't think it's a Schickle, optical illusion on the eye being flush.

A bit late, but here's mine ... 800 marked on the reverse under the ring.

                      Paul

A lot more original finish left to the reverse ....

Here is the only one i have :

An early type 2 "from the late 70,s early 80,s" ?

Very nice quality frame with a later core , this one was worn by a Ritterkreuztrager .

Sorry for the blurry pic i will post a better one when my new 5 megapixel camera arrives .

                              Hi,

Following are two from my collection.

First, an S&L from the later dies but an early version with an iron core. Unmarked for silver but the rims on this one may be genuine silver. The oaks/swords also appear to be S&L, also aren't marked for silver but appear to be an earlier example (they aren't the later collectors matt silver style with sharp scoop on the reverse of the oaks). I haven't imaged the case or ribbon for the RK. The oaks/swords came loose with the RK.

Following that will be my early, heavily flawed S&L from an Oakleaves Generals estate. This one has been imaged before in a couple of the big S&L RK flaw debates.

                              Regards
                              Mike K
