Thanks, on my last trip to Europe I rented a car and made the effort to go to Dieppe before Normandy. I just had to see where my fellow Canadians died that day. Great show you have put on. I will visit your museum in 2014.

The "museum" you mentioned is only an exhibition for just 15 to 25 days per year even if we attach great importance to a "museum" quality display...if one day a "real" modern and permanent museum is planned to Dieppe (it seams "on the air & on the way" since the last year 70th anniversary!) I really plan to realise large and realistic dioramas with lifelike scenes and sets representing parts of streets, beach, casino, bunkers etc...it would be a great project!
By then and considering that next year will be the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the town (September 30th 1944 by the same 2nd Canadian division which landed the 19th of august 1942) we plan to extend the exhibition until September 5 to honour the event which is part of the history of the Dieppe Raid and prepare displays corresponding (piper, despatch riders...) as per shown on period pictures

A nice portrait of a Canuck in town
(Note the captured P38 2nd type holster in his belt at right,
a MP40 magazine pouch at his left to store the Sten MKII magazines
and the ribbon of the city attached to the right pocket!)
