DIEPPE! The 2013 Exhibition (Mannequins & display)

    Hi To All,

For those who haven't got the opportunity to see the 2012 exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid the 19th of august 1942, I organized a new one this year...even for those who already saw the last year expo, new dioramas with (re)customized mannequins, displays, relics, veteran's items had been added and this year the exhibition focused on the relics & remains of the Raid.
it was installed in the same old building as last year (which was the Kriegsmarine Kommandantur during WWII) located of the sea front.

Here is a photos report mixing period photos & mannequin's pics corresponding...
    ...Hope you will like it...

    Best to All,
    Thierry

PS: An update will be made soon with more photos of the exhibition as global views, details, models, relics & remains, etc...

It seems that you have been very busy refurbishing your own mannequins . Your skills as a designer have even improved! Many congratulations Thierry. Will there be an exhibition in 2014? I really hope that I will be able to visit it next time.

Mea culpa Grizzly and thanks for the info, i check and it seems right that this photo was taken some times after the raid and not before as it was mentioned when i found it...anyway these Calgary Officers were effectively take apart to the Raid.

To precise, 417 men were engaged with the 14th Tank Rgt (the Calgary Regiment) at Dieppe, 13 Kia, 23 wounded & 157 prisoners for 224 men who returned to England...and on the 29 Churchill tanks attempted to land, two of them drowned and 27 were left on the beach partially destroyed!
