This just came in yesterday, an obergefreiter with more then 6 years of service, summercloth tunic. It's my third light weight tunic within a year. Really love them.
Except for the arm insignia everything is period applied. Obergefreiter insignia was on there originally, but removed and handstitched back on.

Very nice tunic....

What if he changed rank and replaced the arminsignia?

It could be original sewn...

I have to be honest (and God I hope I don't get chastised in this thread) but I've always felt indifferent on lightweights myself; but after seeing all of these.. I may just have to reconsider!

A superb grouping of summer tunics. These are my favorite types from WW2 and I must say my favorite is the general tunic tunic.

Sorry for hijacking this thread , but..

Take a look at this tunic...it was found this way....all original applied insignia..

Check the vinkel...one can think its reapplied....its not, well it is...but wartime

Some super summer tunics. Thought I'd add mine. Plenty of period repairs and once had a CT on the left sleeve. Otherwise untouched.

GBJ summer cloth tunic

To keep this awesome thread going, got this in last week. Still haven't decided if I'll keep it or sell it, but I wanna share it anyway!
A GBJ off tunic made by a unit level tailor. Roughly cut and made. Collar tabs are resewn. (Thread of the Original tabs are still there) It's in light wear condition.
