Light weight Heer "summer" tunics

Ok guys so here is the latest light weight tunic to land in my collection. The eagle in my opinion was either period upgraded or replaced as there is a very faint outline of a previous and slightly larger eagle (probably a flatwire with wool backing) that was once on this. That said the insignia is all really well settled into the tunic so if it was done it was done a long time ago. The tunic shows minimal wear and I really like the odd collar backing material, kinda cool and different. This one also has a dagger hanger on the inside, I didn't take pics as the sun was setting fast as you can see in the other pics. Hope you guys enjoy it. Matt

Thanks guys! Its in almost too good of shape for me, I like them a little bit salty and used and abused. Hell even really used and abused works for me, just not much of a closet queen kinda guy. That said most of my PzGrn tunics are walking out ones (I know, my collection of those makes me a hipacrit) but that is pretty much the only ones that survived. Matt

Here is one of mine, to Leutnant Wolfgang Altmann / Ski-Jäger-Regiment 1. He was killed in action 14.1.1945 southwest of Košice.

Awesome jacket! Did the visor and all the paperwork belong to the LT? If so thats even better. I do enjoy these light weight summer tunics, the more I look in period pics the more of these I see in the photos. These seem to be quite popular with the officers in the period and I can't blame them. Matt

I must once again say that the tunics here are awesome.
I managed to buy back one of my old favorites today from a nice collectorfriend!
I bought it in 2004 and he from me 2010 and now I bought it back again!
It is made from something of HBT like material but on pictures it looks very shiny.
I really like the shoulder boards and general wear of this one + the fact that the Medal loops are original to the tunic, so is the Krim shield I think.

Yeah, visor + paperwork + awards came with the tunic. Also got his italian gabardine uniform.

Here's another one, to Major i.G Wilfried Hille. His last position was Ia of Korps Ems. Awarded German Cross in Gold 07.10.1943 and Honour Roll Clasp 3.11.1943 serving with Infanterie-Regiment 459.

If not too much trouble it would be nice to see the Italian gabardine uniform as well (after all it is an ensemble)...
