Here's a nice post card found on google FYI. Does anyone have an example of a leather Der Spiess duty/roster book they can post please? I wouldn't mind trying to nail down one of these. Anything Spiess related is game here.

Luftwaffe Spiess fliegerbluse

Hi all, I picked this up earlier this year from Mike Davis at Virtual Grenadier. Apparently it came from a deceased US collector's estate.

It appears to have been a walking-out tunic with re-lined sleeves and even an internal opening for a dagger. It has "3" numerals on the boards (I'd like to think FJR 3 !!), and a lanyard button under the right board (I added the lanyard). There is a tailored hole for a screw-back EK1 plus award loops. The FJ badge and Luftwaffe Ground Assault are decent copies as I don't collect awards, the EK1 is original.
