        Great collection! Would you mind showing us some close up pictures of your ss helmets that appeared on a previous thread? Nice collection indeed keep it going!

          Hi kokstok,

          The Japanese flag is a standard of a Company of Marines.

          This writing in Japanese: "Hamanura Wind East" and possesss some marks of blood and punctures of bullets and splinters.

          It was identified by another collector as coming of Tarawa.

          I particularly do not know to the certainty.

          I searched and I found indications of the participation of this unit in the Munchuria (China).

              Nice collection, of special interest to me is the display of the MBE and awards to a New Zealand Air Force Officer, may i enquire who the awards were awarded to? Keep up the good work!

                      Great diversity. I like the "crowded" look as you have to slow down and look closely at everything. Gives you more time to "digest" what you are viewing. I like it!
