Very nice collection Laurence - it is hard not to collect a bit of Canadian stuff, as it is hard not to be proud of our history!

        Congratulations Laurence

Very nice and colorful collection. I liked the combination of the maple leaf and chevron ranks, badges and armbands. Also impressive is the U-boat badge. Is it still in use ?

VERY IMPRESSIVE, Laurence. A wonderful collection.

I didn't know Canadian insignia was so rich and colorful looking.

Thanks for showing. I really enjoyed looking and got a "free" lesson
          in Canadian.

            Canadian Collection

My sister married a Krause, brother to Major Krause from Red Deer. I think he might of been C.O. of the Reserve in Red Deer. Nice collection. I sold my collection of Hat Tallies (over 100) last year. Are you into Canadian medals ?

Hi Ed I have my Dads medals and mine, I never really thought much about that, most of this comes from a life time of being associated with the CF in some form or other.

When did the major serve in Red Deer, I just finished 17 years with the Arty Battery that is located in RD, but I dont recognise the name. There is also a Signals unit here, and though I know most of the names from being colocated in the same building, I wont profes to be familiar with all their Officers.

Do you collect Canadian Medals? I would be interested to see them if you do

                Collection

Major Krause was around the 60's and another good friend who passed away some time ago was Col. Eric Cormack. I collect just the WWII medals and bars.
Prices are slowly going up, even the bars. Dieppe & Hong Kong bars have been sold around $300.00, Same as the ACE. The prices are getting ridiculess and fakes are abound.

Great collection Laurence I have had some killer Canadian battledress in the past,North Nova Scotia Highlanders,Cape Breton Highlanders,PLF etc,etc BUT I ended up trading them for German stuff

Now I look back on it I wish I never did.

Great stuff, Laurence! I don't actually collect Canadian stuff actively, but I have a lot just from growing up with the military. Mainly from the RCR, Regiment of Canadian Guards (my Dad's units), and The Royal Westminster Regt and Queen's Own Rifles (my old units).

                    Thanks for posting all this!
