Hello everybody, I'm back after a long time out. These are the last two photos from my collection. It's been very hard to pick up new photos since they are reaching prices over 100 euros even for average photos, plus the exchange rate here has skyrocketed (1 U$S = 8 $ARS). Hopefully I'll be getting something nice soon!

This photo shows U-93 leaving port (probably St. Nazaire) sometime in 1941.

This photo shows Oblt Günther Freudenberg during Kmdt training in 1941. Previously he served onboard U-536 as IIWO and later became a POW on 20.11.43

So that completes my collection for now, hopefully I'll be able to expand it this year. Haven't been able to add a single photo for almost a year and a half now...
      Hope you like!

Good pieces as always, dear friend! Thanks for sharing!!

Nicoo, Maybe you know which is the numeral/pennant of this U-Boot, at he served as Konfirmand in this training period?

Nicoo, ¿ Qué numeral tenía este U-Boot, en el que pasó su período de entrenamiento como Konfimand?

          U-Boat photographs

Hi from New Zealand to Argentina! Only now have I been able to see your splendid contribution of photos of U-boats. I am particularly interested in photos of 3 U-boats (U653, U427 and U190). Can you help? I'm assuming you have now left University with a degree/diploma and working hard! Regards Derek

Hello everybody! I'm back with a little update…

Not much to report on the collecting front apart from the following photos, I've been saving every cent for my big trip to Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia due to begin next month and which'll last 8 months! Anyone wishing to meet up, have a chat about militaria over a cold beer, show me around or employ me is welcome to contact me at n_bracco@hotmail.com

On to the only two pictures I got this year:

Dock hand with what looks to be an airbrush working on a late war boat (judging from the Wintergarten configuration).

Next picture shows U30 with it's insignia barely visible and a grinning Lemp resting on the conning tower. Thanks to access to U-99's KTB, Michele Magnozzi was able to place this photo on the morning of August the 5th 1940 in Lorient, as U-30 lies moored next to the famous U-99 (barely visible) prior to sailing on the boat's last patrol. Afterwards, Lemp went on to command U110 (with which he'd perish less than a year after) and U30 was destined to training flotillas.

Sadly that is all for now, hopefull y I'll be able to pick up something soon!

              Nicolás

The price of photos, I have been offered photos for up to £100 per photo, expensive as most would seem to have been lifted from photo albums which makes it a big money business .
Nicco you have posted some really excellent photo, really enjoyed seeing them.
