    My U-boat photographic collection

Hello everybody, I'm Nicolas Bracco from Argentina. I've been interested in the Ubootwaffe and WW2 in general since I was 15. As I don't have a job (I'm 20 now and in university) I can't afford "big" militaria items so I've limited myself to collect original photos.
In this thread I'll show what I've gathered so far in 5 years of collecting.

First photo shows U-441 coming into Brest harbour on 22 Jan 1943. Note the single pennant for the sinking of Soekaboemi

Next photo shows U-209 on it's commisioning ceremony

These two photos show U-37 in Wilhelmshaven on 8 Nov 1939 at the end of it's first patrol. The officers seen being greeted are Werner Hartmann, LI Gerd Suhren and Gustav Poel (quite a group!). In the second photo, Doenitz is barely visible, about to address the crew. Note the eight pennants fliying from the periscope.

    More to come!
    Hope you like them!

I'm glad you like my collection!
        More:

This set of photos have been identified by Axel Niestlé as showing U-195 practicing with it's FuMo 29 GEMA device near Bornholm.

Here's an unidentified Type VIIC. The camouflage makes me think that it's a mediterranean boat. Check out the Naxos anttenae and the enlarged AA platforms.

Another unidentified VIIC. I really like this photo.

U-575 in agust 1942 returning from it's ninth mission. Check the Wappen in the middle of the conning tower (skull and sinking ship), also visible is the raging bull of the 7th flotilla.

U-575 in dock, note the sweater worn by the crewmen, it has the inscritption LILIPUT. U-575 was codenamed U-Liliput.

                    More U-575 photos

I'm elated by your comments, I'll keep posting then.

These photos show U-953 undergoing UAK trials, note the yellow/white band painted in the afterdeck. I really like the detail of flagpole and kriegsflagge.

Crewmen of U-586 after it's commissioning ceremony.

Crewmen of U-270 crowding the AA platforms.

U-48 at the Holtenau Lock in the Kiel Canal on 21 June 1941. The boat here has just arrived from it's 12th and last patrol, therefore it is flying a pennant for every ship sunk during it's career. Quite an impressive tally, no wonder it was the highest scoring U-boat of the war!
