A thread to the Pz. Grenadier collectors

Guys I think this is a thread that is a bit overdue. I love collecting Heer tropical and Pz. grenadier items and we never see a great deal of these items in collections. So lets start a thread to the Mech. Infantry. If you guys would like some better pics let me know as I just snapped these when I got home while I had a little light. Matt

The cool thing about the M36 conversion to officer tunic is that there is still a price tag for the shoulder board that is visible right at the seam on the right shoulder.

There are some lime green threads under the seam.... sweet cap with no side vents.

a visor that was worn to have that crusher look. I don't even dare to try to reshape it as its been this way forever and it just has that great jaunty look to it. I just love this visor. There are very faint marks on the band where buttons were maybe once sewn but this has had no other chinstrap since. Likely had buttons or something before the soldier removed them.

This is a huge cap, its gotta be pushing a size 60 or maybe a bit more, I fit a 57-58 and its way too big for my head. Its a very nice private purchase cap that has had the posts moved at some point. Its been worn quite a bit and the liner and sweat band are very stained from use. I feel that it was a private purchase by a more senior NCO who was eventually commissioned but who knows. Great original cap for sure.

so this second model has had the eagle and collar tabs replaced. Tabs replaced a long time ago but replaced none the less. The board are as perfect a match as you could ever get, the lime green is sun faded and the boards have some staining just like the tunic. They could have gone together for sure, anyways its just a filler but I like the look of it.

just a nice selection of my loose insignia. I have some more but don't want to bore ya guys too much more. But if anyone has any they would like to part with let me know.... I am always buying it, especially officer pz. gren stuff.
