I liked other militaria, but not as much
after seeing my first examples of the super big five - an
SA & SS DE, Army 4x4 & swallowtail & Luft fahne.
...

Flags I saw in the 1970's that focused my collecting eye from then on.

Nice setup! Just imagine...a soldier picking up a helmet from a pile, then proceeding to a table of lugers where then he heads to some building and rips the flag off before heading inside. There he finds an officer's (maybe General?) chest where it's Iron Crosses galore to never be presented along with the officer's dagger (or if he chanced encountered the officer...). He then carries his helmet full of trophies to the desk where he gets the papers and BOOM...66 years later!

If only there were groupings with that kind of story...*sighs*
