Question on displaying EK2s

One of my favorites.

Very short , fragile, blood stained ribbon.

Why would I want to change it?

It was given to me along with a helmet and bayonet by the widow of
the guy who picked them up off the battlefield in ww1. She was a
family friend and this was a gift for my 16th birthday. A long long
time ago.

Thanks for the display ideas. I think leaving the original ribbon on makes sense.

I'm quite fussy about ribbons, not the condition, more the length, I like my EKs to have the same length ribbon. I will keep a salty ribbon with the cross it came with if it's the correct length but if I get a short length of ribbon with an EK I will change it for a longer one. It's good to see a mix of ribbons in different conditions on display.
