My WWII Collection finally on the site.

    Hey Guys,
Here is my small collection. It doesn't include the 2 german flag or my grandfathers actual WWII Wings and uniform, but this is stuff I've collected over the past 2-3 years. Enjoy!
Unfortunately, the EK I on the bottom (you'll see it in the pics) was just discussed on the thread and is fake... But the one on top is good!

The patch with the eagle is actually an uncut one and has 6 of them linked together.

THese are my Aviation wings (it's a family thing. My grandfather was in aviation, I'm in aviation, and hopefully one of my sons will follow)

The patches on the left are my grandfathers actual patches from WWII and Korea (WWII on top, Korea on bottom) and the three on the right, I bought because he was in the 8th AF during WWII and 5th AF during Korea)

In the display case. I added a few things (flight gloves of my grandfathers, flag, and repro hat on bottom). This is all going in my man cave upstairs. Wife isn't too happy about it though... both of her grandparents were in concentration camps I'm very glad she's understanding of my hobby and passion though

                      Nice collection.
Personally, I wouldn't display the Stars N Bars along side NS relics, but thats a judgment call, and may mean nothing to some folks and a major issue to others.

I assume you mean USA Stars & Stripes vs. CSA Stars N Bars.
As for S&S display with NS stuff, I have no problem with that,
but then I've been collecting flags of all periods and nations for
some decades now. Some folks take exception to any militaria.
But that is what is so nice about the WAF, as all of it is welcome.

Here's how I think of it. Some of my friends have died protecting that flag. Some of my Grandfathers friends died protecting that flag (it's a massive 48 star flag made at Valley Forge btw). I found it fitting to put it above the nazi stuff symbolizing those (and honoring) men who have falled during any war to protect what we love so much. The US is on top because we prevailed. We won that war. My middle name came from a man who served with my grandfather during WWII. He was shot down during a bombing mission over Europe. So that folded flag is to symbolize all of the men and now women who have died protecting everyone back here at the states. I found it very fitting for my display. That's how I think of it anyways.

Ahem ... I stand corrected, Stars N Stripes it is !

Here is my poster collection. It is currently at work being displayed in my shop. I'm debating on trading them or selling them to get more badges or what not. Four of the posters are the 28"x40" and the other 3 are around 18"x28" I also have a 29th uniform displaying in my shop. The field gear is real and the clothing is repro. The helmet liner was my grandfathers. When I got it I was around 9 or 10 years old. I put the foam in it so I could play with it. Still haven't had it repaired yet. But there it is.
