Not formal pattern, but nonetheless a nice collection of Munich Apartment pattern silverware. Vet bought by a friend of mine, in Cleveland, OH, area...
Think I've posted this before but here is the last surviving piece from my AH silver collection...
This was found whilst metal detecting by the previous owner whilst stationed out in Germany in the 70's. He got a bunch of them up from behind the garage area of the Berghof. Looters from the village must have sawn off the offending eagle area and made away with the solid silver remains for selling on for silver I would guess.
Still its a neat conversation piece
As you can see prices for this stuff continues to rise, its become widely collected and appreciated for this historical value. So its a good thing but also kinda bad as the true collector is having to pay more + its getting harder to locate. Wittmann is the only dealer on the entire net that is even offing any.
