Not formal pattern, but nonetheless a nice collection of Munich Apartment pattern silverware. Vet bought by a friend of mine, in Cleveland, OH, area...

Interesting, sets. Don't know much about the engraved examples. I do know its buyer beware.

Think I've posted this before but here is the last surviving piece from my AH silver collection...
This was found whilst metal detecting by the previous owner whilst stationed out in Germany in the 70's. He got a bunch of them up from behind the garage area of the Berghof. Looters from the village must have sawn off the offending eagle area and made away with the solid silver remains for selling on for silver I would guess.
Still its a neat conversation piece

Warning to all, I have seen several jewelers cast fakes of the Formal Pattern AH silver! Buyer beware!

Also look at this pile of scrap..........

FYI Wittmann has a bunch of nice informal and formal silver for sale!

Thanks for the heads up Eric and I picked up a nice tablespoon from Witty.

As you can see prices for this stuff continues to rise, its become widely collected and appreciated for this historical value. So its a good thing but also kinda bad as the true collector is having to pay more + its getting harder to locate. Wittmann is the only dealer on the entire net that is even offing any.

Johnson had a small silver warming platter on his site that I just missed"

Eric, most of the pieces on Wittmann's site are on consignment so it seems someone is selling off their collection.
