Here are some close-ups of the non soutached M40 cap seen in post 2, 3, 4, 5....it does have the last type of sweatband. Maker still unknown (can't read it...Rego...???), acceptance in Frankfurt in 1942, size 58.

Great work folks - always a pleasure seeing collections come alive like this. Now, does this magazine come in English as well? Will see if I can locate a copy locally.

              Cheers,

              Asper

                  Love that cap, Jean-Philippe!
I also wish the whole magazine was published in English, but it's a French publication. There were 25 English editions in the mid 90's, (collectable now in their own right - I'm only missing three editions) but I guess these just never had enough support from the collecting community.

Looking forward to getting a copy of the magazine myself.
The 25 English issues were quite good, just such a shame that they stopped at that otherwise I would still be adding a copy every month.

P.S. I've just ordered a copy from the Militaria Magazine website so will be eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

I'd certainly subscribe to a new English series. The old English editions were informative (for the time) with a real effort made to educate...
I am honoured to have contributed to the 300th edition.

Thanks to all for the positive comments...
An edition in english would certainly sell more now than what it did twenty/fifteen years ago. Maybe Histoire & Collections launched it too early...no Internet then, less interest and collectors also. I would be highly surprised if they try again.
I'll try to dig more pics for this thread...

                                Article

                                Hello,
I will have to buy this magazine and have my cousin translate it for me. I agree, an English version of this magazine would probably sell better today.

How is the best way to buy the magazine in the US?

                                Regards,
                                Jody
