M40 Tropical Caps in French Magazine

    Hello Gentlemen,
Several months back, knowing his interest for tropical things, i did ask Mark Twiname if he was interested to co-sign an article with me in the french magazine "Militaria Mag" about the M40 tropical caps....and he accepted.
After some tremendous work done, we have been able to achieve something (IMO) quite nice and useful for collectors interested in this matter.
The article is published this month in the issue N° 300 of the magazine.
We decided to "extend" the article with this thread where some unused pics will be posted.
My poor contribution to this thread starts now....then i'll let Mark make the show....

    Hope you'll like it folks....!

first is the front cover of the magazine introducing the article...

              and one more, full size....
these reconstructions were made to illustratre the cap worn....but the article is of course meant to show caps by themselves...that's the main part in fact...

It was a real pleasure working with Jean-Philippe on this project. I was honoured to even be asked to contribute in the first instance. I also hope that anyone who reads the article will pick out something of interest, and further the interest in the m40 in all it's (so far known) variances.
Here are a few set-ups I created for the article using a soldier from the local base who was pefect for the part. It was an excellent opportunity to photograph some of my uniforms on a live model, something I hadn't needed to do before. The compositions are generally poor as I'm not exactly Nigel barker...
I'm not going to plaster all 180 photos, so here's just a few.
Thanks to another forum member here for supplying all the live firearms for the shoot...

The model pictured here is a good friend of mine, Frédérick Lejeune from France.

Exactly! These guys are simply to put the caps in context.
Jerry, the article is in French....
