Dangerous fake, thanks for sharing
when I am offered a BD helmet directly from the vet familiy, I will go for it, I stay away from ground dug shells "found in Russia" and helmets offered by militaria dealers, I don't believe on them.

Yo do the correct thing, still there is a way to tell the diference between the original period appllied ecals and the fakes and post war applied, but I will not disclose it publicly, dont want to give the fackers more weapons against us

Yet the obvious sign the diference betewwn the patina of the decal and helmet, or the artificially aged decal with obvious signs of intentional sctraches. I have seen so many of these lately.......

The most eassy to detect are the fackes that size and dimentions do not comply with the original:







Sometimes you will se some of these decals whos hape is altered sometimes by cutting the bottom to look pinto and must say I have seen some weird variants to......
