BTW, I was in the army in Alta and I was fishing and finding stuff from the exact area where the Tirpitz picture you have shown.
The national guard in Alta was the formal ammo depot to Tirpitz.
It was once bomed, and the splints where grewn high in the pinetrees back in -92.
I alo found 20mmFLAK cartridges. A friend in our kaserne got a k98 bajonet and a german folding field showel from the depot.

Amazing that such Abzeichen are to be found, in that condition! Nice display also, I like wreckfinds. This means the sailor was on cruisers/battleships before, or perhaps even obtained this when his ship went down. For example, if you were on cruiser Köningsberg or Blücher which sunk in 1940, you obtained the badge. I am not quite sure how the odds where obtaining the badge when you were on Tirpitz. The few actions she undertook offcourse counted for obtaining the badge, but how this was when she was just static? Perhaps somebody can tell more about this.

it is really great when a collector can find artifacts that are known to be from a certain battle.

I'm not sure how I feel about 'plundered' pieces....

In my world they are not plundered because they havent been taken from a soldiers grave its a big difference.
Badges and medals was not awarded and still in there package when found.
