The first Honour Goblet was awarded the Unteroffizier Erich Knoll of KG55 in 10/7/42. It came with its award cert and a number of other certs EKs etc. It also comes with a photograph Herman Goring dedicated to Erich Knoll for having completed 100 combat missions, it is signed by his staffelkaptin, his solbuch, flight flugbuch with over 200 combat flights including 2 over London during the Battle of Britain, and 27 combat photos. His solbuch shows that he was awarded 3 campagne shields, the Navik, the Cholm and the Krim. The photo shows Erich Knoll and his pilot Robert Seib who was awarded the RK 9/10/1943. Erich Knoll died of wounds on the 20/4/1945,

The second Honour goblet was awarded to FW Martin Gornor unfortunatly there is no history with it. (J)

Jim, absolutely museum-quality stuff, congratulations. I particularly like the tunic of von Althaus, and that of Kolbow. My uncle commanded the Ergaenzungsgruppe of JG 51 under Moelders in 1941, after commanding 9. Staffel JG 3 during the BoB. Still forlornly hoping I'll one day find his Honor Goblet of 1940.
