How difficult is it to find RAD items? You have a great focused collection. Are RAD items expensive when compared to the Wehrmact items?

              Thanks

                Hello Paul,

RAD items are usually easy to find(common stuff!),Ive spoke to alot of people who are suprised anyone collects RAD stuff as not many people seem to be interested in it-prices are pretty good compared to other areas of collecting ie Heer SS etc-the prices have been going up on RAD stuff the last few years but there still decent-its been alot easier finding stuff since i became a member of this forum,I get emails all the time from people here either selling RAD stuff or they know someone who is-Here are some pictures of the cover of the personenakte file and a page from inside-with 144 documents and bad German reading/translation skills its gonna take me a while to figure out what everything is,Im gonna be asking for alot of help with translations etc in the next few weeks!

                  RAD salute photo

                  Yancy,

I found this rather poor quality photo in Dad's paperwork. I posed it with a buckle he brought back. They look like very young boys.

                    Hello Greg,

Ive seen pictures of RAD "men",that look like they are 12 years old, later in the war the RAD started taking anyone over the age of 16-BTW what is the maker of the buckle you posted a picture of?

                      Yancy,

This is your area of expertise. I was hoping you would be so kind to tell me what I have. I have two buckles and have posted both for you to examine.

I have another thread on a Reichsbahn belt and buckle. So far, I am unable to locate any maker marks on that rig. If you happen view it and have an idea where I might check for marks, I'd appreciate your suggestion.
