    Collection

Very impressive collection, and some hard to find items I must say, looks good John. Here's some of mine....Chris....
The 34 and 42 are almost complete, then they'll need finished, both are semiauto, the 34 built upon on a TNW receiver, and the 42 built upon an approved ATF legal design , no ability to accept full auto parts on either gun.....

Go figure, not one Luger in my collection, but plenty of P38's...a few of them....and a Pix of my 1922 M2 trainer....

                        Nice collection Chris! Wow!

John, the P38 has no story. It was a vet bring back that made its way to our small town gun store last spring. The guy's son brought it in.

My Gramp served in the CBI theater as a truck driver on the Ledo and Burma roads. One day he and his buddies unloaded everything off
of a train and everything on the shipping list was accounted for. Except there was one box sitting in the car that wasn't on the list. They
pried it open and found all brand new 1911A1's. They all took one. I asked him how he got it home. He said when they came home they
all lined up to have their bags checked. As the guy came by to check, the first guy in line would hand any "contraband" to guy behind him.
When the check was over, the stuff got passed back up and away and away he went onto the ship. And they did this on down the line.
I guess the last guy in line wasn't able to smuggle anything back.

Chris, you have a nice collection there aswell ! I used to have the tripods and a 34 but needed more space so they had to go !
but every time I see a 34 I wish I still had one, I would really like a relic example but I would have to be very lucky

is the gunners pouch complete? I havnt forgotten about the paper, I am still waiting for the photo copy for you,
oh does the double barrel container not take 34 barrels? mm spare bolt box,
a friend of mine used to take them off all tripods he sold on because he said most of the time when you found one it was missing,
I dont really agree with doing this but, he has none at present but I am thinking I have seen one for sale recently, will be in touch

would it be possible to take some pics of the inside of the sight box please, mine has no internals,
I guess the box was useful to the farmer after the war and didnt need the insides !

Bigschuss, that is a great story about the 1911, has more significance when you know the history I think,

Interesting too Gran Sasso about the recycled gasplain to make the straps, thanks,
