New to my collection is this handsome private purchase Heer Jäger Waffenrock of the 4<SUP>th</SUP> Infantry Division, 10<SUP>th</SUP> Infantry Regiment, 1<SUP>st</SUP> Battalion-Jäger.
It is interesting to note….the soldier who purchased this waffenrock decided to upgrade the collar tabs and breast eagle, but decided to keep the standard issue cuff tabs.This could have been a preference or he possibly ran out of Reichsmarks but either way, his decision to have non-matching collar and cuff tabs did not satisfy regulations. The piping around the shoulder boards is made of a Rayon type material which was used during the period, but not often seen today.

Matt...... yes, this is the second Jäger waffenrock I own. The other has grass green piping and the Jäger tradition badge sewn to the upper sleeve.
