New up date with arrival this morning of early yellow piped tropical shoulder boards.

The colour between tunic and boards is a perfect match, you would swear the boards were made from the off cuts of the tunic when it was made. The ware/fade is also a perfect match (sometimes these things are just meant to be). Have also just placed in position a very nice matching tropical chevron which also has the same tone and ware.

Now to find a yellow soutached matching cap

Great work Greg, the match on those straps could not be better and finding a chevron that close is a credit to your searching abilities ..

I do have a twin chevron on tropical backing that has been picked off a tunic by a US vet (still has the original threads hanging off) but it is not as faded as yours, lower L/H corner of the cabinet ..

I have included a quick pic (forgive the quality) of my untouched faded Transport single chevron tunic (ex Danial Fisher collection) for comparison ...

              Cheers
              Paul ...

Thanks Paul, I remember that tunic now and a very nice worn appearance it has, I love the colour of those transport boards and the chevron has just blended in with the tunic as they do. I did actually find a faded twin chevron but it didn't match the unfaded area of where the previous chevron had been, where as the single was a perfect match.

Attached a pic of my named Pz -gren 1st pattern with chevron that has faded consistantly with the tunic like yours..

                Cheers

Very nice tunics Paul and Greg.
Those new shoulderstraps are also quite nice Greg and definitely a good match for the tunic. Finding the cap will be very difficult as cavalry soutached caps are quite scarce. Perhaps you'll get lucky.

Greg & Paul: WONDERFUL displays and items!

Here are pics of my latest EM first-pattern tunic along with M40. It is amazing how it really came to life once I put the M40 on!

                        Very nice Jonathan.
They certainly do come to life when placed on a mannequin.
Here are a couple of mine that I photographed after arriving home from a deployment last year.

Very tasty Jonathan , a perfect match infact.... Love the sweat stains that give the cap a real character.

A nice stained dirty cap makes all the difference to these tunic displays

You will definitely recognize this faded 1st pattern tunic.
In addition here is a shot of my signals overcoat which definitely looks better on a mannequin than sitting in a cupboard.

Stunning Mark, I really like the signals piped blanket coat goes perfectly with the cap.
