It also appears that the first two figures (with mustaches) may be identical twins (or brothers at the very least).
I'll have a look amongst my photos, I may just have won the photo that you're talking about . If not, I'm sure that we've probably all bid against eachother on some incredible photos.

Agree these brothers show up in a number of different photos, but always looking rather rakish What model is the Pz III ?

Thanks, never doubted the first photo was from April, it is very likely from the 200 Inf Regt. The 2nd may still be the same unit but later in May, but believe its from the 104th.

I may have lost something in the tranlsation but if you are selling these you should place them on the e-stand with full details and price.
Of course I would have them discussed first. Just my humble opinion.

            Good luck

Make sure to post them in the bazaar forum of the E-stand. In which country were they made ?

                This Week Pick-Up's

Another pair of stompers. The tall pair once had a leather ply field expediently fabricated over the entire canvas panels, hence the missing lace hooks and completely dyed all black.

Having endured some years in a desert environment myself, has anyone ever asked themselves; "When it's hot enough to drive the Devil mad, how the hell could these DAK Soldiers bear wearing these skin a$$ tight knee high boots without any air circulation???" I mean, my damn balls need some air out there.

Wonderful sets! I like the combination of DAK medal bars with another Italian medals beside the Italo German medal too.

Yes, it will be very hard to find matching ribbon bars for this two outstanding medal bars.

                          Regards

Ray , very neat boots I especially like the cut down ones The medal groups are underated IMO. I have a few afrika mounted sets but your ones with the mix of Italian awards are quite special.

I've often wondered how they wore such boots in the heat of the desert....and I guess thats why they were later issued the shorter boots.

                            Thanks for showing!
