Great photos of Reinhard. Agree first one is when he is on leave, first thought was upon deployment to Afrika, but the AKCT is already been awarded. Notice how he has changed in the later 2nd pattern photos including his different belt, loss of weight etc.
Can't quite tell if there is a soutache on his M40 in first photo, but it looks like the first pattern tunic may have dark piping on shoulderboards and in the later photos it appears to be a much lighter color piping. Do You know his vocation within his SVB unit(s) ?

    with regards
    Tim
    Hey Tim,
Yes, Reinhard changed alot physically during the war so it was hard to pick him out in some of the photos but for the large nose. I don't see a soutache in the first photo upon closer look but I think the boards are piped in engineer black perhaps. The sonderverband 2nd pattern tunic looks to have white piping. I need to get all the captions translated to get a better grasp on all the details.

PS I like the camo helmet you just got sscrooge.

      Hi Jos

Thanks for further info and informative thread in the FJ section too. At the last SJ show there were a few of those "new" 3 pronged versions for sale...

      Andy

Agree first photo looks like Black piping on straps (unless its the shadow underneath), the second pattern could be any light color from PzGr reseda to white. What about some of the other photos ? The Athens '43 photo looks like it is colored (not black or white)...anyway great stuff.

      Hi Dave

While the Afrika CT was not worn in Tunisia by the Herr to my knowledge, thats a real nice Tunisian display

                Christopher,
Are you going to erase these pics after a few days like you did in the past and put them back in "secure storage"?

                    Hello,

I've managed to restore most all of the photos in question before your post.

http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=349585 (see post 21). I will comply now that the rule is promulgated and I know better.

Here is another set of bleached DAK art't boards for unteroffizer.

                      Hi Chistopher

Nice selection, but are the Greatcoat straps in post # 1475 copper maybe ?
Perhaps its just my monitor...the other sets look real Art red to me.

                      with regards

                        Hi Tim,

The color of the blanketcoat straps in # 1475 is red for sure. I just found a better camera....

                                Hi Luca,

I wish it was mine. Isn't it sweet!!! The tunic & cap are located in the Deutsches Panzermuseum Munster, Germany.

I came across the link which revealed the photo shared below.

                                Best,
