Can smell the 88mm from here

Those helmets and hats are fantastic. Got my first DAK helmet a couple of days ago. It's a roughy, but I've got one. Will post a pic of it soon. Came with a pre war pattern tropical gas mask.

I've always liked to think that Bob's helmet perhaps belonged to one of these soldiers. Other angles of this scene show that the Luft helmets are tropical painted double decals.

Thanks for the compliment , The tunic is clearly maker marked and dated 1941 and was found in the UK with all insignia totally untouched .. This manufacturer always beautifully hand stitched his breast eagles ..

                              Hi Paul

Those are some great items in your DAK display. The Transport tunic is a really special one as not to many of these have survived today. The Recon Straps look nice and used too, unlike the number of bad sets floating around now. Those sage tunics are my fav

The photo you posted has some of the crewman from a section of Flak 88mm that was captured inside the perimeter when abandoned by the Pz's after the premature attack Easter '41. Also in these photos are a number of the 8th MG Bn and a few Motorcyclists, their faces really tell the story don't they...

I did actually try to find the shots taken from the other angle but wasn't able to find them. They clearly show the painted around tri-colour on the Luftwaffe steel helmets, which Bob's helmet has always reminded me of.
