There is a lot of nice stuff in this thread, but in my opinion mint stuff has less historical value for me.

Point taken - As for myself I like both - if I can buy an item that I can research and know the history of the man then it increases in value more than other items.

Hello,
Wow, those are some great RKs of the KvK. Super, duper! I will have to show mine sometime, but sadly it is not mint.

Regards,
Jody

Pre-1945 Rommel "Honor Book" - Minty

I'm a paper guy for the most part, so I've got to post something paper

It is my understanding that approximately 200 of these were printed by the Rommel family to honor the General Field Marshall shortly after his death, and before the surrender in May 1945.

I think it's about as minty as one will find, plus it has 2 Frau Rommel dedication signatures. One is inside the cover, and one at the end of a type written note on her personal stationary that was originally presented to the recipient of this book.

John

PS: I absolutely love all the other postings of uniforms and awards - FANTASTIC

Here are some of my mint warbadges, i think the fact that i have them in their original case/box preserved them very well
