Ben, this is all that is left over of the wine cellar. It was either the wine or the German stuff.

My collection pales in comparison to some of the collections posted, but thanx for the compliments. I am still to light on the knowledge side for my liking, but the forum and you guys are helping to rectify that. Jacques

Holy s**t! This must be the best ever collection I have ever seen! Makes me somewhat ashamed of my (litle) collection haha. Or said in a positive way: I've got myself a new goal Absolutely gorgeous (as all people said here before)!

For personal interest: I esspecially like the way you present your medals

I too really like the tunic boxes. A perfect way to keep them from getting dusty. Yours is a first rate display worthy of a museum.

How many times have we read that in this thread??

But somehow, you keep finding room for more, and it still looks GREAT!!!

                    Keep up the good work.

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Thanx for the kind comments, guys. Hank, I have to move house within the next few weeks, I have lost the battle for space, needs more lebensraum. I guess there is a new challenge ahead, but the bigger space will help. I have sold my one kid, so I have more to spend and more space. Definitely a win win. jacques

Just a bit of an update. My Africa related tunics are creeping down the stairs, space has caught up with me.

Interesting gouping from a soldier in the 29th motorised inf division, which was wiped out at Stalingrad. The guy got badly wounded in the months just before Stalingrad and missed the battle. How lucky can you be. The picture was in the soldbuch.
