Some of the heads on Mannequins I find a bit freaky.
Not having a head focusses more on the display.

Were scopes issued for the Stg44?

MP44 scope

Yes, there are many referance wartime photos showing the use of the ZF4 scope on the MP44 with two types of mount. The MP44 was also fitted with the Zielgerat 1229 Vampir infrared night vision scope/sight. The MP44 pictured has a post war applied mount to accept the ZF4 scope and mount. The scope and mount was obtained from an ETO Vet. that fought in the Texas/Oklahoma, T/O("Tough Hombres") Div. Regards Bill
