Now we have reached over 1,000 views I will not be avaricious. Some new photos will be shown from females: Stahlhelm-Frauenbund (Sta-F) and the closely related Bund Königin Luise (BKL).

It was quite common to wear the windbreaker in some districts, as shown with this 1926-photograph.
The use of such was not a privilege for the SA. It was worn by many left and right winged organizations.

A very, very rare photographs.
"Herr" Illenberger, the Gauführer from Hohenlohe, is wearing the special symbol for signals (Nachrichten) upon his shoulder-belt. It was especially noted in a later Stahlhelm-Handbook.

We all know the Reichszeugmeisterei granted permissions to manufacturer headgear for the political organizations with the A1 and A2 indications, but not many know also Der Stahlhelm granted such permissions.

This one, for Hermann Potthoff from Coesfeld (Westfalia), was shown in volume 2 of "Headgear of Hitler's Germany"" (published in 1992). It has the granting number 16 (Zulassungsschein) for the official visored cap for the Bund, dated October 9, 1934. This automatically means the version cap for the NSDFB (Stahlhelm), the nazi Bund. Documents like this were supplied through the Bundes-Kämmerei, a sort of department for goods, uniforms and weapons.

What a great thread this is. All I can contribute is buckles, so let's start with the Stahlhelm Landsturm version. This is one of my all-time favorites.

Finally, a unofficial Stahlhelm Landsturm. This is for a 4 cm wide belt, an uncommon size.

In the 1980's it got interested more and more in the Stahlhelm-organization. I had the chance to visit with some regularity the old Stahlhelm-Archiv in Germany and when volume 2 from the series "Headgear of Hitler's Germany" got its shape, of course this organization was included. Volume 2 was published in 1992 (by now many years ago).

The chapter was related to headgear only and enclosed some 55 pages with lots of photographs. Shown here two pages with photographs from higher ranked persons, taken just before the disbanding of the NS. Deutscher Frontkämpferbund (Stahlhelm), which was a fact in November 1935. Practically all shown photos do have an original signature from the person who was portraited.
The worn shoulder-belts through the years of existance of the Bund is quite interesting with its related insignia. There is so much information available in my hands, I easily could write a smaller booklet just about this subjecy only.

Before I eventually will continue posting other material about the Stahlhelm-organization, I will wait for the time being and give others the chance to post whatever Stahlhelm-material they have.
So, take your chance/opportunity and cooperate! We - the Stahlhelm admirers - are not served with only viewers (inquisitives)!!

For now something most people do not know about: Stahlhelm-insurance (Stahlhelm-Versicherung). The shown poster gives details about it and mentions the numbers of insurances available.
The Stahlhelm-Versicherung was a member for the Deutscher Ring of insurances.
